Then opening day of the new Season started with a bang as 46 goals were scored across the 8 games played in the warm sunshine. Plaudits goes to Wimborne Town FC Reserves Kester Wilson who scored 5 times in their 7-3 win.

Lets start at the New Cuthbury as hosts Wimborne Town Reserves thumped Balti Sports 7-3, other than Kester's goals Rayan Brim & Charlie Middleton also scored for the hosts with Balti's goals courtesy of Jack Summers, Freddie Walker & an OG. Hamworthy United Reserves & Gillingham Town played out a 9 goal thriller at the County Ground with the hosts edging it 5-4, scoring for the Hammers were Mason Trevor [x3] Freddie Kenway & Freddie Traver, replying for the visitors were Nick Fowler [x2] Harry Bolton & Kam Andrews. Their were 6 goals scored at Alvington as Westland Sports & Verwood Town played out an entertaining 3-3 draw, Verwood raced into a 2 goal lead with goals from Morgan Collarelli & Matt Pope only to be pegged back by Jack Bareham & Lucas Cawley. Brandon McKinley restored Town's lead in the 2nd half only for the hosts Steve Ormrod to equalise late on. Another game to see 6 goals was at Chapel Gate as visitors Sherborne Town Reserves beat hosts Bournemouth Sports 4-2, scoring for the Zebras were Jamie Russo, Tommy Gaylard, Josh Maskell & Danny Dacombe, with James Bergin scoring a brace for Sports. Bournemouth Electric are up and running after a 3-1 win at home against Hamworthy Rec Reserves with Jamie Morgan, Kyle Clement & Abrahim Adjosi scoring for Electric with George Lane notching for Rec. Meanwhile in the Purbeck, the Bulls from Holt United beat the Swans from Swanage T&H 3-1 with all 4 goals coming in the 2nd half, scoring for the Bulls were Matt Stephenson, George Ashby & Alex Eaton with the Swans consolation courtesy of Will Pryor late on. There were mixed fortunes for the 2 newly promoted clubs as Wareham Rangers beat Portland United Reserves 3-0 at the Sports Centre with goals from Johnny Powell [x2] & Finley Girdles. Mere Town suffered a 4-0 defeat at Cobham Sports who scored all their goals in the 1st half with strikes from Sam Lench, Henry Bowe, Asa Phillips & Harsh Budhdeo.
